Inside Door Repair

I have a 2010 Cruiser 29' 5th wheel and the panel on the inside of the door has developed all kinds of horizontal cracks and they keep on coming. My goal is to take the door apart and replace the inside panel. I am not sure what that material is but some googling has lead me to believe you can buy this sheet material at Lowes or Home Depot although maybe not the white, textured material that is on it now.

I am looking for any dos or don'ts from those that have been there, done that. Assuming the panel is glued to the interior frame does it come off easily or do you end up making a mess of the frame and insulation. Also, what type of adhesive should be used to install the new panel?
