Installing a Fantastic Fan

I know the bedroom vent is wired for an air conditioner with A/C current. Please let me know if there is 12 volt D/C wiring at bedroom vent location?

Are you sure it's for a/c? I bet you'll find it's a 12v connection. Probably wired from the factory as an option for a Fantastic Vent.

I had the RV dealer install one in our bedroom. Not sure where they picked up the 12VDC - maybe from the light circuits - it may have been wired for one. We use it allot - multi speed and it can be set for air flow in or out of the bedroom.

My Cruiser is prewired for the a/c in the bedroom vent. Not sure if there is a 12v wire there or not.

2011 CR 305sk Patriot, also pre-wired for AC. Not sure if it was a Patriot pkg add.
I think a lot of 50amp trailers are pre-wired

Hi George, I Had Crossroads install a fantastic fan in our 2012 Cruiser 305SK and they picked up the 12V where the bedroom wall met the ceiling. This must have been the line for the over dresser light. They mounted the thermostat in the ceiling at that spot. It has all worked out great.

CrossRoads has confirmed what Bruce discovered, there is no DC current to the bedroom vent, only AC. I want to thank all of you for your response.

We have a 12 volt ceiling light very close to the bedroom vent. If you have a ceiling light close by you could probably use that 12 volt source for your fan.

Consider putting the Fantastic Fan in the bathroom. Most already have a almost useless fan there so 12 volt problem solved.

You can open the vent in the bedroom with bath fan running. That is what we do and it works great.
