IntelliJack Information

I have a very minor issue with my Intellijack. I contacted Intellijack directly to solve this issues. This is the e-mail response I received.

"I regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to take the IntelliJacks product off the market. We are no longer able to provide support and spare parts. You will have to address your concerns directly with Crossroads (260.593.3850)."

I am passing this along for your Knowledge.

You would think that if they are taking their products off the market that they would take down their web site, http://www.intellijacks.com/.

What was the problem you were having? I have intellijacks too, so I'm curious what the issue is with your system?

IntelliJacks

My issue was simple. The small grey buttons have fallen out of the receptacle. I wanted a couple sent to me from IntelliJack vs, going through CR. You read the response.

I am using modified golf tees. They are working.

I emailed Intellijack and the writer of the previous response from Intellijack stated unfortunately it was true.

This is a concern to me since I also have this system in my fifth wheel. It has worked great so far so I hope I don't have any issues.

Update to my minor issues.

I received a call from Al at IntelliJacks. He is sending me the parts I need to make my system whole.

Well that's good news. Should have made you feel better.
Did you by any chance ask him what the situation is there?

Anybody ever bypass the Intellijacks on their rig? If so, is there anything more to it than just installing a rocker switch in it's place?

Just make sure you use a double pole double throw rocker switch and not a regular rocker switch. You will need to be able to reverse the motor and you can't do that with a standard rocker switch.

Thanks, Phil, for the reply and reminder about the DPDT switch.

Since there have been no other replies my assumption is that nobody has bypassed the control panel. I have emailed CR to ask if there are any "gotchas" but so far no reply. They must all be at the rally.

Your welcome!

It's an easy swap, you have 4 wires going into the control box (positive, ground & 2 wires coming from the motor). Just remove the plug from the control box and either cut off plug or find where the wires are spliced and remove splices and wire to switch like diagram I posted. Just that simple. If you are planning on reusing the control box again I recommend leaving enough wire to resplice the plug if needed. I hope this helps.

My Intellijacks won't retract (extend works). I think the problem is with a limit sensor. Does anyone know how to find that on a Cruiser. I know Intellijacks is out of business, is there another source of that sensor? Camping World told me they cannot install a simple extend/retract switch. Does that make sense?

I've searched for a replacement switch and could not find one.

I don't see why a momentary up and down switch for leveling cannot be installed. Tracing the wires would be the most difficult part. It will not auto level or total retract, but I'm sure something could be rigged up.

Here is the inside wiring of the box. Looks like there is only the ground, positive, and leads to both motors.

Older rv, parts mfr out of business, new problem

Reviving a really old post,

I have the Intellijacks system and recently the disconnect feature crapped out. Apparently the magnetic switch function (that stops it automatically) didn't work anymore. Resulting in jamming the front legs. I was able to unjam them, but further troubleshooting shows that when the disconnect magnetic sensor cable that runs to the front is unplugged, the controller will not go down, only up. Replacing just the magnet didn't fix it, multimeter shows no change.

When I tried to replaced the magnetic switch entirely (onhand security system magnetic switch spares), the replacements I obtained do not duplicate the original function. Not sure if they need to be NO or NC or a specific resistance. I can currently use the controllers other functions while the non-functional magnetic switch connected, but if the disconnect button is depressed, its gonna break it again (if someone else were to push the button). If I remove the magnetic switch connection, then it will only travel one way.

I've been searching the web, has anyone else have a solution or found a workaround that doesn't involve replacing the entire controller? OR am I gonna have to figure out the DPDT switch wiring for when it dies completely?

I ended up replacing the whole system with a three position momentary switch, because with my luck my system would crap out when I was on a trip...IMHO not worth the trouble to fix...
