Went to the Des Moines Rv Show Saturday and there was not one Crossroads there. Heartland and Forrest River,Keystone was the most that was there. The big change this year that I seen was the outdoor kitchen and hardwood floor and not so much carpet. The bunkhouse and the toy hauler was pretty neat. But not for me. Only one I seen that I like that had a setting room in the back and sidebath. There is alot more sidebath this year. I like that option.

I don't know what brand it was but seen one that had A-frame slide out so no slide toppers or water leaks. Looked really nice on the inside. Was differant.

It seems that CrossRoads doesn't "help" the dealers go to the shows. Hopefully they are putting that advertising money to better use, like making better quality frames and buying better tires.

We saw several with the outside cooking area this year in St. Louis also. I think I like the Coleman stove and campfire to cook on if I am going to cook outside. I don't have to give up the storage space taken up by the cook center that way. Seems there is never enough storage anyway.

How did the A frame slide work? I can't visualize that.

Guess you haven't been doing much winter camping this year

Too much snow!!!

We will have to try out my new dutch oven I got for Christmas once it warms up a bit.

The Seattle RV show is this coming weekend. But looking at the dealers that are listed to be there I think I might pass.

The following weekend is the Evergreen RV show here at the local fairgrounds in Monroe; a lot of the same dealers, closer to home, cheaper parking, etc. I think I'll just take in that one instead... They usually have a gun show at the fairgrounds the same weekend so can catch both on a Saturday..

My brother is still shopping for a new RVso he will probably be with me.

My neighbor was lookingto buy a new trailer but my wife just told me they bought one yesterday but she didn't know whatmake. I guess I'll find out more tomorrow.

BipeFlier, about that new dutch oven, I often use mydutch oven in my Weber

kettle BBQ during the off season to keepit seasoned (and 'cause I like using it)so don't wait for camping weather....

I like the a-frame slides also. Went to a show in Ocala. All big empresive, expensive campers. Not one under 32 ft. they did have pop-ups and a couple of small tt with a deck in the front.

Some see it as an outdoor kitchen, I saw it as an outdoor bar.

Fridge, sink, and cabinets = BAR!!!

The "A" roof line on the slideouts was started with Cedar Creek but has flowed into other Forest River products.

I agree, it is quite elegant looking inside and a blessing to someone of my height (6'3")

Bipeflier We have not had the trailer out once. The grandson is mad but with the temps and the wind plus about 10" of snow it hasn't been even considered. The A frame is on the roof of the slide. Looks like a good deal as the water would run of and no dirt or tree leafs to get on them. Also the inside room is taller than the regular slide. Get that dutch oven out and practice as I want something good. L.O.L talk to you later.
