Question, concerning thefilter housing and winterizing if I use antifreeze.
1) Even though I drainall the water from the unit the filter housing, I think it will contain water?
2)Kingstonlooks like it has a water hose connection for winterizing, I have not figured how to use this connection to get antifreeze into the unit? I guess the antifreeze will fill the filter housing or does the antifreeze have some way to bypass?
Hunter11, with the location of the water filter and the need to unload the basement to get to it, with water standing in the filter housing after all water is drained from the fiver, I would think that could be a source of contamination if the filter housing is not removed and cleaned. I think I need to see if the filter could be bypassed, what do you think?
We use ours year round so the water never sits very long in ours. If it was going to sit for a while between trips I would bypass the filter housing completely. I would not think it would be that hard to do.
