lippert ground control

hello all
i have a new 2015 cruiser 362FL 40 ft RV, love it, still getting used to the auto level system, we wil be going to a park this weekend that all pads are not level we used to use boards on our other rv to level, i have been known to get error out of stroke, i have figured out that one leg can not adjust enough to level where it set, my question is, how level does it have to be to let my front slide outs, the first time i used it, i tried to put the slide out before it was leveld and it jammed on me, one side was 4-6 notches out and the other didnt move. had to override the control to get it back, so is it more important on those slides ( electric) to be level side to side or front to back. just incase i cant get it to auto level and want my slides out. the front slides are different then the other slides, the motors are up top behind the frame work of the slide. there is no manual adjust on these slides like the other 2 slides . thanks in advance for any help.
