LPG Tank Sensors from Mopeka

Has anyone had experience with these? Put the sensors on two tanks, then sync with phone and the included monitor. Tanks are full, just picked up fresh ones today.

One sensor appears to work as advertised, the second registers empty. Tried scraping bottom of tank, repositioning and still the same thing.

The product website leaves a lot to be desired.

Any ideas out there?

Have you tried switching the sensors on the tanks to see if you get the same results, that would help determine if it is a sensor or tank mounting issue.

Went back out to the storage lot today, both sensors are now working. Didn't do a thing but swap them from one tank to the other. Must have been how the second one was positioned yesterday,

LPG sensors

Even if you get these to work right, they’ll only last one year. The batteries will be dead by the start of the next season. You can change the batteries, but they aren’t well designed for this the magnets that hold them to the tank will fall out as well. Replaced the batteries for the second year. One of them worked for about 2 weeks, the second one never worked again. These are junk.

I have three of these sensors. Two on my 5th wheel and one on my home BBQ.

I have found them very problematic.

Also as said battery life is questionable. Sometimes I get 6 months then sometimes two weeks.

I can not recommend this device due to the reliability and high cost.
