I bought a package of Lynx Levellers for my husband for Christmas due to the positive response from this forum. We brought our trailer home from storage a couple of weeks ago and decided to give them a go. They were great for the front landing gear but when we tried to go more than 2 blocks up (using the lego building principle) they would shift out of position when trying to drive back or forward on to them. Our driveway is paved so I'm not sure if that's why?

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if so how did you resolve it. They seem like such a great idea as they are light, come with a storage bag and are easy to pack. Oh and bonus for me (no slivers:-).

If you use thestep method, place two blocks down then a third on those two, you should not have any slippage. Need more than two high? Use three on the base, then two on top of that and finally the last one on the two. Three high looks like you built a small hill that steps up. I believe the instructions show this.

Yes we do use the step method but since we only have 10 blocks we couldn't go 3, 2 and 1. We are thinking of buying another pkg of 10 but we wanted to know if others found any slipping on paved surfaces before we did that. They are pricey here in Canada

Is it safe for the tires to sit on only one top block that's 3 high? I'm sure it must be or they wouldn't be so popular but I guess we're so used to using boards that it seems like a small surface.

We bought the lynx levelers with the chock blocks and put the chock around the tire. Here is what we got and where I think we got it from. http://www.rvlevelingblocks.com/lynx...nchockPkgs.php

I carry three bags of Levelers. Not sure if their Lynx or not. There the yellow ones. I have had mine for 12 years. I cracked two while dry camping in a friends field that had sme humps and bumps. I laid them down on uneven ground and they cracked when I backed up on them. But that was my fault. I've never used them on pavement, just grass or gravel.I carry the third bag for backup. Ive never used that bag.

I love these things. I was a big fan of Legos when I was little so I guess they are just like toys to me! I have 3 sets. 2 are for leveling the 5er & putting under the rear stabilizers. I use 1 set as supports for my sewer hose. I have one of those "trays" (like a section of gutter) that supports the sewer hose but it will sag if I have to make too long of a run so I use the lynx levelers to support it and maintain a downhill slope. I even use them to pull DW PT Cruiser up on to change oil.

I loved legos too which is why I think that I was attracted to these I picked up a nasty sliver under one of my nails last year when placing one of our boards as it's usually my job to position the boards and direct my DH. Plastic sounds darned good to me after that

We are planning to do the Lake Superior circle tour in August so maybe we'll look for a deal in the US as in Canada they sell for $66.95/10 CDN. Best I can do there is get 15% off when that's offered.

I think the reason ours slipped out of place when driving over them on pavement is that we don't have enough to create the pyramid effect. From the looks of this forum, 2 pkgs seems to be the ideal number. Love them for the front landing gear though.

WalMart carries them so you can look there when you get to the U.S.
