"Magellan is set to introduce a new device to its line of GPS navigation products specifically designed for RVers. According to a press release, the RoadMate RV9145 navigator features an extra-large high-resolution 7-inch display and customized routing based on a vehicle’s profile and driver preference. It comes pre-loaded with the Magellan exclusive ... "

There is another out there too cannot remember the brand, considered it once, anyone else have the RV specific navigator, any comments on using one?

I have the Garmin gps, the one I got has a 7inch display Dont believe they make it anymore. I do like the extra big window though, makes it a whole lot easier to read

I have an older Magellan unit(3 yrs). Not the RV type BUT, when upgraded it went stupid. Worked and tracked and all that but was about 100' behind the vehicle at 60MPH. Fine til the upgrade and couldn't back up. I also asked about direct entry of coordinates to go to a location. Not available and didn't plan on it, their answer. My answer, never again. I do like the backup camera option though but paying for upgraded maps when everyone else is giving them away doesn't float with me.

YMMV

PS I hate this new color scheme.

I have the Garmin dezl560LT, 5" color screen, has vehicle profiles for RV, Truck and Auto to input height, (routes around low bridges) weight, length etc plus all the POI and free lifetime map updates. Very satisfied with it so far, recommended to three friends who also bought it.

I bought the Magellan 9145 2 weeks ago...so far it works as stated...I have owned Garmins (and still own a 780) and have sworn by them forever, but this unit came highly recommended...I like the lane exit features that show you exactly what lane to be in when on 4 and 5 lane interstates...I didn't have any problems updating it, registering it, or setting it up. Time will tell...hope this helps. Any other questions let me know

My next will say anything but Magellan. That being said I've been browsing the Rand McNally RVND Tripmaker 7710. Big screen, height and weight, RVLog, and an RV Checklist. I just saw it in a flyer than came today and plan on some research. Same price as the other RV specific GPS's.

THANK YOU CROSSROADS FOR A READABLE SCREEN.

Just returned from the big Stag-Parkway RV show in Las Vagas where I saw the Rand McNally RVND 5510 & 7710, very impressive. Seems to do every thing the Garmin does plus a few extras like pictures and videos. After "Jack" gave me bad directions twice on the return trip I'm thinkingof making a new purchase and offering the Garmin for sale.

When a talked to Magellan several weeks ago they mentioned the new RV model would also have a optional video camera for $150.00 more. Would be nice.
Have a Garmin 1450T now and it's making to many map mistakes. Seem they are more concerned about selling advertising on the GPS than correcting mistakes. Talked to them three times and nobody really cares. This is my 3rd and last Garmin.
The Rand McNally looks nice too.
