Maintenance of rubber seals on slides

What do you recommend for maintenance of the rubber seals on the slides?

A lot of people use baby powder on the seals to keep them from sticking and tearing and I have had good luck with this. Also a silicone spray can be used for wipers and such.

I read somewhere that you should use a Teflon based spray rather than silicone. I found 303 Aerospace which looks like it will work great.

X2 for 303 because it doesn't get stickey, prevents freezing, doesn't breakdown under direct UV and last a good amount of time.

Sorry guys, I just went back though my amazon purchases and it was closer to $40. I ran a detailing business for a few years so we went though gallons a month.

I know they claim 303 is the cats meow, and the best on the block, but I have never used it.

I clean my seals with W-D40 wash them with soapy water, when they're dry I apply silicone that I can purchase at walmart or any automotive store.
This has worked for me for many years.

I agree on the 303. Used it on my seals as well as all over my unit. I bought the gallon also and only used 1 quart last year. My unit is only 1 year old so only time will tell I guess.

Travel well,
Jim

+1 on the 303. I clean mine with WD40 like Lloyd does. It makes them almost as white as when they were new then I clean off the WD40, just like Lloyd said, the only difference is I use 303 after that. I like 303 because it can be used on a bunch of things. I even use it on the wheels of my trailer and vehicles. It makes them easier to clean the brake and road dust off. I use it on the interior plastic of the cars too. It seems to not be "greasy" like armor all. It doesn't collect the dust those do, in my opinion. It also seems to last longer.
