We are looking to buy a 4" Memory Foam Mattress Topper. I was wondering if they can be cut to fit a short queen.

Yes! And my wife and I love ours. They do add some weight so if you have storage under the bed you may have to get stronger lift tubes. We had to go to the 120 lb units on ours. Also had to reinforce the mounting areas.

We have a 1 1/2 in. memory foam topper in the camper. It was suppose to be a 2 in. I contacted overstock.com about the mistake and they sent us the 2 in topper and told us to keep the 1 1/2 in. We now have the 2 in. on our bed in the house. We found either one of them would do the job for us. Myself----I wouldn't go to a 4 in. Memory foam is pretty heavy.

We installed a 4" memory foam topper on our queen mattress and it really made a difference. The little extra weight does not cause a problem for us.

You might consider replacing the mattress rather than a topper. We found a 10 inch mattress set (4 inches Mem Foam, 3 med foam, 3 firm foam) on overstock and went that route. Could not be more pleased with the result. $299 delivered to my door and more comfy than the bed im my house... . Another pluse is you canadjust firmness by switch the order of the standard base foam layers. Weight has not been a problem for us. I truley think you could add rocks to the factory mattress and still be more comfortable than stock...
