Microwave replacement?

Took our trailer out for our maiden voyage (2014 sunset trail 30 re). High Pointe microwave worked fine. One morning it turned on by itself, ran for a couple minutes then turned itself off. then back on, then off, while running none of the buttons work. i unplugged it for a couple of minutes no change. unplugged it for a couple of hours still no change. And when it's running it won't heat anything. from what I've researched, it's cheaper to replace it than try to fix it.

So my question is have any of you replaced your microwave? If so with what?

Thank you,
Rick

Google the model and serial number to make sure its not recalled. I had one go out on my last camper. I googled it and found out it had been recalled. The manufacture sent me a check to replace. I think I got mine off eBay for less that $100; also included the trim frame. Put in RV microwave. measure your opening and get one that fits.

I would just shop based on dimensions, appearance, venting and wattage. Wal-Mart, Amazon or wherever.

We went with a LG convention oven from Home Depot.

When our nuke went out I called the supplier to Crossroads and was quoted approx. $125.00 for replacement. I then measured the unit and bought one that size at Big Box Mart for $35.00 and using the original trim had it installed in about 15 minutes. Works great!

Good Luck with your project.
