Looking forward, nervously, to the new adventure and, Ted, I hope you and your wife do too!!

Exciting times!

I'm in the Akron area, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get your camper?

I completely understand. Just traded in our big pop-up for a ST270BH. Although I'm really looking forward to a lot of things about the new camper, one of the things I'm worried about is losing the feeling of camping and getting back to nature. We made sure to find a model with lots of big windows and don't plan to use the TV EVER!

You have lost your minds, but sometimes a break from the norm (aka craziness) is exactly what is needed to enjoy the simple things life has to offer... Congrats and welcome to crazy!

Could not agree more. I am fishing, hiking or at the fire, hardly ever cook inside. The trailer is good for 2 things, wet weather and BEAR country.

The reason there are so many types of RVs is because there are so many types of people using them, and different reasons for owning what they do. We find our 34' fifth wheel a problem in some places and there are campgrounds we do not go in because it would be too tight. We have a bigger trailer because we use it so much. Three months in Florida every winter, one to two months for a big trip, and many smaller ones means we end up spending almost half of our time in the trailer. This works for us. Whatever works for you is what you want.

When our kids were young, we never had a pop-up, we had travel trailers instead. People used to tell us "That's not camping!" to which I replied, "No, it's not. It's a cottage with no fixed address".

I love it!! "A cottage with no fixed address" That just about wraps up what we do, and enjoy every minute!
