Thinking of trading 2005 CF28CK for 2013 CF335SS.Any opinions pro or con on the paint package. If the fireplace is not ordered what is in its place?does it give off a lot of heat?Isee the rotoflex pin box is not available as an option. Will installing one void any warranty?

We went from a 2005 29RK to the 2012 335SS. We had a couple of small issues (trim piece, shower door aligment) which were correct by Crossroads. There have been reported issues with water entering the bedroom slide along the slide "track" , we have not experienced<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /> this problem. There are some that have had issues with the bedroom slide aligment, see the Crusier section of the forum. The fireplace option was not up for debate , it was a must have so said the DW...lol. It gives off a fair amount of heat and we use it to warm the camper on those chilly mornings. We really are enjoying the layout. Unit actually tows nicer than the 29 RK. Can not comment on your other questions.

I purchased a Roto-flex hitch for our Cruiser, direct from Crossoroads, after the purchase. I was told by Lippert it would not void our warranty.

Tony --- If you don't mind the $4,000.00 cost for paint, go for it. The fireplace gives off some heat, I know some of my camper friends swear by them. If you don't get the fireplace I'm pretty sure you will have a couple of cabinet doors with storeage behind them. I can't speek as to the rotoflex as I have a trailair pinbox.

We have a 2012 335. Didn't want the fireplace now we love it on those chilly mornings. The layout is super! Can't imagine any reason for a $4000 paint job. Find it hard to believe that a dealer will give a higher trade-in because it is painted different. jmo.

Friends of mine just bought a 335SS at Hershey. They were told the special paint would cost an extra $4,000.00 on the price of the camper.

Is this the colour scheme you are looking at? Seems like a good price if the $4000 is included.

I think when you get the fireplace from the manufacturer an A/B switch is installed toggling between the microwave (or water heater) and the fireplace.
I got mine installed by the dealer, I don't have the A/B switch.
The paint package sure looks nice, but I'm not sure if I could justify another 4 grand for that.

We love our fireplace. It throws off a fair amount of heat, doesn't use my propane, and is quite compared to the furnace.

We purchased a CF355SS because we liked the layout.

Pin weight should be within the GVWR of your truck. Pin weight is about 2100 to 2200 lbs.
The paint job may be a pain later on when it starts to peel.

I like the Trailair rota flex pin box - the rubber in it takes up some of the "road shock". It came with the enhanced package in the 2012 models (along with the Equa Flex suspension). The rota flex is sold by lippert:

Ours came with the fire place - use it for supplemental heating. It was a feature we wanted based upon the layout. If you do not have it there will be some sort of desk area.

The bed slide design issue has been corrected with the later 2012 builds. Just make sure the slide is put out and in a few times to verify the seal and that there is no dragging that loads down the two motors (front and rear).

We have not had water coming in via the gear rails. We did have water damage because the bed slide was not sealed properly when it was built. The bed slide walls and bottom had to be replaced.
