Congrats on the new rig. Can't comment on the surge guard but just about any aftermarket pin box will be better than the original (if they are the same as what I got a few years ago). I have the glide ride and really like it. I also have the 4-way pivot hitch so that helps as well...but you probably already have a hitch.

It really depends on what pinbox is installed on the trailer. The Trailair Rotoflex pinbox came on our 2011 335SS. Some folks like this pinbox and some don't. I am one of those who didn't and installed a Mor/ryde in it's place. For my setup the Mor/ryde just works better. So it is really just a matter of what you are comfortable with. Give the unit a try with the setup that comes with it. You may like it. If not you can always replace the pinbox.

Our 2012 came with theTrailair Rotoflex pinbox - works for me. I have air bags on the truck too. Both of them improve the ride and the towing. I think you like the air bags installed on your silverado. Added them to my last two silverado's too. AirLift 5000 - easy to install yourself.</span>

We have the Trailair Rotoflex pinbox too. Came standard on our patriot. Have been happy with it. Much better than the rigid pinbox we had on our2007.

Hi,
We have a 2006 CF29CK and are happy with CR,so our obvious choice will be another CR product.
The Patriot would be our next 5W and I would like your input as why CF335SS ?
Thank you.

Tony -- Congradulations on the new 335SS Hope you have a lot of fun with it.

I also have the ride air, and is good to hear that other posters like it , as I have not had an oppertunity to use it yet.

Can't help with the surge protector, but can tell you to take a vacume cleaner with you if you decide to take a wall in the basement down to install the protector. Just in my basement over the weekend took a wall down and found not only a ton of sawdust but pieces of wall, screws, ends of ties and other assorted construction material.
