Hey everyone, I have changed my username from Deputydog to Papa-T, due to new Departmental rules that don'tallow us using anything to do with our job status on any public web sites. So, since itsdifficult to just change the username I had to re-register under this name so I have lost my posting numbers and start date. So, I guess it makes me a brand new camper. Ah the feeling to start over. LOL Looking forward to all the advice from the seasoned campers. Seriously, Just wanted you to know.

Have to wonder about the logic of those who make these new rules.....my thoughts are a person should be proud of his/her profession and I especially respect those who serve and protect our nation and communities. Welcome to the forum..Papa-T

New rules and new classes. Now mandatory to have to take classes such as "Juvenile Sensitivity". Yea, times have changed for sure. 2 years 4 months to go for 30 years. Then I will let the younger generation take over.

Talk about rules; why can't we just change our name on the forum if we need to?

I think we should be able to keep our old post count also. Just apply for a new name change.

NH, I think the rules he is referring to are at work, not on the forum.

I know what he was referring to re rules. I was commenting on his report of being unable to change his forum name without starting all over again.

Ahh. If it helps, this is pretty standard procedure for forum admininistrators. Most are not willing to rest post count.

I think the forum uses a standard form. They tried to find a way to change the name, but was running into problems. I finally said don't worry about it and just re-registered. They did try. No big deal.

It's sad when you can't display your Profession that you are proud of. I fail to understand where we are headed. I hear employers are now demanding passwords....I guess they figure they own you outside of your 40 hour workweek. It appears to be a step backward.

beware of ACLU, NAACP, and other ilk of the same genre.
Our "majority" freedoms are slowly disappearing.
Hmmm. Juvenile sensitivity. Just when are they sensitive to "olders"
Seems every day they are attacking seniors and taking purses, wallets, ETC. Even invading homes.
Oh well, off my soap box
BTW, I am NOT politically correct.

My best sleeping during the year is when I have to take the Juvenile sensitivity classes; so all isn't lost. LOL

Hmmmmmmm..... Deputydog. So you can't make it public that you write and/or are in a comic strip for a living?Sorry, I couldn't resist.

IMHO your "Department" is pushing the envelope a bit. I would think you have the absolute right to mention or imply that you are a Deputy as long as you make no mention of your particular department. Please no flaming, as I said, just MHO. What say others?
