Newbie Water Heater question

So we're currently on our maiden voyage and plugged in. The manual says when you turn the remote switch on for the electric side of water heater, the light should go out after 15 seconds. But it looks like a standard rocker switch and the light just stays on. We dont want to damage anything, what should we be doing?

When you say remote switch are you talking about the electric hot water rocker switch in the main control panel. If you are it will stay lit until you turn it to the off position...At least that is how it works in my camper...

PS....It would help if you had a signature on your post with the model camper you own...Just a suggestion...

Strange... I have a signature setup, but it didn't post. We have a 2017 Sunset Trail 26BB.
