Mark....Thank you, I tried that and received good TV reception. Any other suggestion?
I am in the metropolitan San Francisco/Oakland area. 50,000 watt radio for the local Giants ball team...nothing.

My Jensen unit has poor AM reception as well and I have been meaning to see if there is even an AM antenna connected. FM doesn't need much other than a hanging wire or power cord and that's what I normally tune in but AM requires more of an antenna. Our Fleetwood Terry had an external mounted AM antenna but nothing on my Cruiser that resembles anything like it. Have yet to pull and check behind the unit itself. Now my curiosity has the better of me and I need an answer.

Mark, are you saying our TV antenna is supposed to be dual purpose as our AM antenna?

I had to pull radio and add a splitter for antenna and hook up a regular car antenna and leave it behind he radio. Leave other side of splitter to roof antenna for fm . seemed to work . but will double check when pick up from storage. Jensen roof antenna is not good for am. only fm/tv

Our rig is a lot older then you guys. There was a wire rolled up on the back of our radio for a antenna. I pulled it out and strung it up one day trying to get AM reception. I ended up taking the unit out and depositing it in the local dumpster.

Thanks for the input...I pulled the radio to see if there was an AM antenna receptacle. Nothing. I will try the splitter method.
