No Power!

My camper has been sitting for months and has no power even when hooked up to my truck. I charged the battery and it is at 100% and still no power to anything. What would cause this?

Was the battery connected backwards? This has happened to a lot of us over the years. There are reverse polarity fuses that blow, and nothing works until they are replaced.

I have discovered it will get power via the shore cord but not from the battery or when hooked up to a truck by the tow cord.

Know you've checked all this, but will throw it out...

Do you have a 'salesman' switch ?
switch it and try lights, switch it the other way and try lights again...

Check your battery disconnect

How old is battery, - could be dead...

your last statement may implicate the transfer switch also...

good luck !

if all else fails, check power at the switch...

thanks very much john. the battery is reading 100% after an overnight charge so i don't think that's it. can you tell me where the salesman switch might be and what it is? And what do you mean by "check power at the switch." And the battery disconnect.

I actually store my coach just south of Burleson...
where are you located in Ft Worth... be glad to try to help...
if I can't I know a couple of guys that worked on mine from where I bought it...
They've both come out to the house after hours and can help...

I usually paid them well to keep them coming back

go back and check the battery make certain all cables are hooked up. On one terminal there are two cables one of them is easy to put the battery on top of and it blends in with the back ground...

You should be able to get power from being plugged into the truck with out having a battery connected and even if you have the battery disconnect turned off. I do this during the winter after pulling the batteries from the trailer. If you are not getting any power with a full battery or being plugged into the truck I would say to check the 12v power connections going into the back of your power center. Sometimes these connections can come loose. Like on my set up I have two power wires and two ground wires going into my power center. One is from the batteries and the other is from the converter.

There are 2 -30 or 40 a fuses kinda hidden in the front of the converter. OR maybe the little rectangular fuse near the battery that has 2 studs and nuts on it . Check that....maybe?
