think it could be a fuse?...they seem ok, but no power to tv or dvd player...ideas?

Could the plug be part of the GFI circuit? Try pushing the reset button on the GFI plug. Try plugging a hair dryer into each plug then you know you have power at those circuits.

We knew there was a GFI plug in bathroom, NOW we know there is also one in the kitchen behind the coffee pot....all good now , thanks...
