Just took delivery of the new 5er. Went to hook up the new flat screen which had just been checked out in the stick house. No picture at all in the Cruiser. Not on cable but not in a remote area either. Antenna extended normally and had normal rotation. Any Ideas??

Cable power boost on?

Are you plugged into the correct antenna jack? Is the button on the jack pressed and is the light on? The button turns on the antenna amplifier. Is the antenna rotated in the direction of the strongest over the air signal?

Also, does your TV have a channel scan function? If so you must run that function in order for the TV to acquire the channels.

You should have the TV connected to the connection which has a little black button that lights a green lite when pushed, there will also be a cigarett type lighter hole on the plate for most livingroom entertainment units.Crank up the antenna and run the auto scan for digital reception. If your doing this in the bedroom, there may not be a booster button on the connector plate, but the button in the livingroom will still need to be on for the bedroom to work(at least in my camper there is only one in LR).You may have to turn the antenna to get a better signal and try re-scan if it didn't pick up many channels.

And if all the things suggested aboveare lined up correctly and still no signal, Check the connectors on the ends of the cables. Many of us have had loose connectors from the factory.
