non crossroads dealer repairs

Hello
Has anyone had any difficulty using a non crossroads dealer to facilitate
repairs?
I had a mishap with a gas station abutment in April on the way home from Texas( I live in Winnipeg,Mb).
We have a 2009 Cruiser 30sk 5th wheel. I know it's well out of any warranty, that's not my problem.
I put in an insurance claim & the insurance company an estimate of parts & labor be fore authorizing the repairs, as a write off may occur!
To date the RV dealer CanAM of Winnipeg tell me they are having difficulty
getting even the price for parts from Crossroads. In the mean time we are left with no RV in a ever shorting camping season.
I took it to CanAm because it was more convenient than the Crossroads dealer & it was not a warranty claim.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated
Regards Cal

GOOD LUCK!

Not sure about the insurance claim, but I know I couldnt get anyone to touch mine for warranty work, I had to take it back to the dealer where I purchased it.

Let us know how things turn out.

If you haven't already done it, I suggest you call CR yourself and explain the situation to them. It might speed things up---one way or the other.

I know my previous Cruiser had warranty work done at Camping World. Some people don't like them but I think it's like everything else there are good ones and bad ones. I'm getting ready to take my new Cruiser to them to replace the awning arms when Crossroads ship them to me, since the factory installed the wrong ones on.

I actually use a mobile service here in south TX, Affordable Camper and RV Repair. They are cleared by Crossroads to do their warranty service. Very good service I might add.

Tiara RV in Elkhart, IN may be able to help you. Their number is 866-880-3093. They are a CrossRoads dealer. www.tiara-rv.com

Update
After 3 1/2 months it is finally fixed! The problem was Xroads would not ship parts to non Xroads dealer even though it was not warranty repair..go figure. The local xroads dealer inflated the cost of the parts to such an extent that CANAM the shop I was dealing with got the parts from other manufactures . Hence the delay.
I must say that this has left a bad taste in my mouth about Xroads.
But it is fixed so we can get on with what's left of our summer.

Did you contact CR yourself, or are you just going by what CANAM told you?

From all I've read, you have to call Crossroads rather than email. Even then you need to be the squeaky wheel sometimes. I have had pretty good luck with them with polite persistence.

That said, I'm not sure your repair facility is being entirely truthful with you.

I don't have a CR dealer near me...I have been using an independent service dealer since I have owned a camper...I have owned two and almost all my warranty and out of warranty issues have been taken care of by them...with No problems...I must also say this service center has been in business as long as I have lived in this area, which is about 43 years...
