Fridge temp back to 60 !We have literally changed everything in this rfridge except the shell .. It worked all of one week this last time. The freezer works , but the food in the fridge had to be thrown ....again !Does ANY one have idea of what causes this, or how to fix it ?

Has the cooling unit been changed out?

We have the double Norcold with the icemaker. I noticed when we brought it home, it struggled to cool. The dealer we purchased from sent a so-called tech out. He took some voltage readings, shorted out the DC fuse, and couldn't figure out why the fridge wouldn't come back on. I replaced the fuse, got it back where it would cool enough to use. He came back and replaced the control board and control panel on the front. This was in the winter. I told them then it would never work in hot weather. As soon as it got hot.....more trouble.

I talked with an independent service man, and he said he could do warranty for Norcold. He came and took temperature readings on the cooling unit and said it had pluggage in it. Took and hammer and tapped on the lines near the bottom, and told me it should cool back down by the next day. While he got the new cooling unit approved and shipped, I used a small hammer to tap the lines anytime it started to warm up. He came out, laid the fridge in the floor, and in about two hours had a new cooling unit in it.

It has worked flawlessly through all our hot weather....holding 35-38* set on level 8. I am gonna knock on wood tho!

I have been researching new full time units for us and on the forumsof all four on our list many people are having issues with the Norcold 4 door units. The good thing is that the four units on our list have a residential fridge upgrade for not much more than the Norcold units.
