Nut for the nut?

Not for me, for my scissor jack! It appears the nut used to screw it up or down covers another smaller nut. Anyone know where I can get a replacement for the one that came off?

Best bet may be to contact the manufacturer of the jack. Do you know the brand??

It looks to me like one of the stabilizers is put on backwards. The shaft in the lower picture should be under the camper on the inside, not facing the outside. The other end of the shaft should look like the one in the upper picture.

I'm not sure it's on backwards Kemp. The rear of most screws are not formed into a hex head. Would like to see the other end though.

The reason I say it looks like it is installed backwards is the threaded shaft sticking out. The threaded shaft should extend under the trailer, not towards the outside.

After looking at both pictures, I think you're correct Kemp.

Came across same issue on another forum and have put in a request for replacement with the manufacturer.

Did you look at the inside of the jack?

If that's the case it was a manufacturers defect.

I'll say! Two were replaced under warranty in the first year. I'm not sure if this was one of the replacement jacks.

I sent an e-mail replacement request to Ultra Fab products and got this speedy reply from Heather:

"I am sorry to hear of your trouble with the scissor jack, I can send you out a nut repair kit which is for 2 scissor jacks at no charge. I will send it out UPS ground to the address you provided in this email. I will ship it out 3/24/16"

Great customer service and product support! I may buy a new jack and keep the repair kit for emergency replacement.
