oem/vs/custom

I know people have a desire to stand out with various forms of self expression, via custom license plates, trick wheels, monster suspension, tinted windows, but I hear and see nothing about custom painting a travel trailer. Is it crass to want to remove the silly striping and decals of a unit, and paint it to match a pulling vehicle? Do campers have an unspoken creed of no neon green trailers allowed? Or is it that campers would rather spend their money on other things? Just wondering.

What I have ever seen is the TV painted to match the camper. Especially on some of the higher end rigs.
Myself, I belong to the group that would rather spend their money on other things.

Winnebago's colors are pretty bright and cool looking. I have seen one, looked good. I see no reason to NOT paint your unit to match the tow vehicle other than it could cut the resale / trade in value if you decided to sell it.

You know how people are about stuff being "non-factory".

We noticed this when we were RV shopping. It seemed all the toy haulers came in really cool colors but other TT's and 5ers only came in the subdued brown and tans.

It's just like your house. Neutral colors are best for resale. Paint it purple if you like but a potential buyer ain't gonna like it. I will leave mine as is. As for the house, the only thing white is the ceiling.

I guess if we don't have a "toy" to haul around, we must be dull and not exciting.

Most manufacturers will sell you decals that are used on their units. This would allow an owner to match a tow vehicle to the trailer with minimal expense. It would also allow the tow vehicle to be returned to stock if needed with the removal of the decals.

I'm anal about the looks of my units and tow vehicle. When I am ready to up grade my RAM it will be a black 3500 DRW RAM w/ a few of the Fuzion factory decals to match it up.

They also have a wrap that could be put on the tv. They could match it to any Rv design.
