Someone said to me today that parking your camper at home was an invitation for security issues when gone. The theory being that people see your camper parked and when they dont see it they know you are gone. Anyone feel this to be true? Makes sense, but don't see paying to park somewhere else as an option. Anyone have issues while they have been away?

I have an alarm system, insurance, and neighbors that watch out for one another. I figure if thieves break in they would just want the stuff that is easily replaceable.

That's a thought for sure, but, the way the CR products are being turned out now days, they will more then likely just figure it's in the shop.

Never have any problems - there is a street light in front of the trailer though. Would probably depend upon where you reside. Maintain good insurance on the house and trailer.

I have my camper garage turned such that you can't tell from the road whether the camper is there or not. My driveway is over 1/4 of a mile long, so they'd have to intend to be there anyway to know the camper was gone. However, I can see that being a concern if you live near the road with your camper in plain view.

Never had any issues in ten years. Neighbors keep and eye on things. Local police supervisor lives a block away and keeps an eye on things too.

Live in a cul, no traffic good neighbors and maintain insurance. Can"t worry about things beyond my control. Rv storage is not cheap so I will continue to store at home.

It was a concern of mine but if I were able I would still keep it home if I could. It is no worse than leaving for work the same time everyday and the car returning out front the same time every afternoon.

Good Alarm, Good neighbors with guns, Have never had a problem. The one time someone did get in the house, RV WAS in the yard. Neighbor scared them off before they had a chance to take anything.
