Power Tongue Jack Fuse

I have a power tongue jack that has a 30 amp fuse in the power line. Recently when using it the fuse keeps blowing. It seems to be when I retract it fully. Any ideas or suggestions on the cause or what I should check for?

Try a slow blow fuse. https://www.jameco.com/z/0299030-ZXN...g_1710856.html

You state it blows when its fully retracted so as stated add a mark or tape so you know when to stop without going against the stop. If its shortly before the slow blow fuse or a circuit breaker with auto reset would work.

Thanks to all the advice so far. I will start with making a mark with a marker. I guess I was hoping for an actual fix and not a bandaid as this is a new problem and not sure why it started.

It is also possible that the jack needs maintenance, lubrication. Also, if any additional weight was added to the trailer or the jack is trying to lift beyond its capacity, it can blow the fuse. The owners manual for the jack should include where and how to lubricate it.
If you run the jack all the way to the top or bottom their could be too much torque on motor, motor over draws power and fuse pops.

If you don't want to install a slow burn fuse, you can install a 30amp auto reset circuit breaker: https://www.amazon.com/Fastronix-Aut...B1XTC9Mhttp://
