Problem with some external electrical lighting

We have a 2007 Crossroads Cruiser that we just love. But after it was hit by lightning one night the porch light and the 'garage' light, and the little orange and red lights at the front of the RV no longer work. We changed the bulbs but the problem remains. The tail lights work fine. The one electrical outlet works fine. How do we diagnose the problem and then how do we fix it without bringing it to a dealer?

Your talking about two different voltages. The electrical outlet is 120v and should have nothing to do with the other issue. The running lights are all 12v and may be on the same circuit or may be two different circuits. Have you checked your 12v fuses in the electrical panel? If they are OK (you should check them with a continuity meter) then maybe the power surge from the lightning broke a wiring connection behind one or two of the lights affected. If you're not sure how to troubleshoot electrical issues, then a trip to the dealer may be called for.

I am going to assume that the little red and yellow lights you speak of are the running lights. Those are only powered through the electrical connection to the tow vehicle and only operate under that connection. They can be turned on with a special jumper that can be inserted to the trailer connector to the vehicle, but I assume you aren't using one of those. The porch and garage lights are powered by the battery when unconnected or inverter when connected to shore power. The 110V electrical outlets are completely different and only work when connected to shore power. Sounds like maybe lightning strike compromised the circuitry, burnt wires, blown fuses, and etc. in two separate circuits.
