I think you get a lot more for your money with Crossroads, but that's just me. The quality of mine has been perfect thus far.

We own our CR 5W since 2006 using it for 4-5 months each summer and till now no problems what so ever except some minor electric shortage in the hot water tank.
We are happy with the product and with the service, have been twice to the factory in Indiana, once on a rally tour and once for logo replacement and some shelves in the kitchen -Best service in town...

We are on our second cruiser and have been well satisfied with both. That said, a lot of people have been very concerned about lower quality in recent years and the reasons behind reducing the warranty from 2 years to 1 year and eliminating the 5 year structural warranty. If all things were similar between two competing units and one had a longer warranty, I would go with the longer warranty because in a typical year you may only actually use the unit for a couple of months. This may not give you enough time to shack out any problems that may arise. JMHO.

I for one would never buy something just because the warranty is longer, I would buy what I like best period. Kinda like buying a Kia because it has a 10yr warranty, no thanks.

I would buy a Kia if they had a 10 year warrenty. My frist year with our 5er we did about 10 weakends. That is 20 days use in one year. MY second year we did 4 months. that is less than 5 months in 2 years. My second year they had to raise my camper, tires hit the floor . They had to put a new roof. With a one year warrenty that would of been my dime.

Here is my reply fomyour post in the boo hiss thread....I've said it before and I'll say it again. All manufacturers make good trailers and all manufacturers make lemons. The question is more how are they gonna stand behind the unit. Crossroads historically has been good about this but the decrease in warranty and a newer rash of issues does make one wonder how long that reputation will hold up. I bought my zinger in 2011 and crossroads did repair any and all issues I had under warranty. That said, I am now out of warranty and just a couple days ago have noticed my dinette is pulling away from the slide wall. Haven't had a chance to investigate this issue yet.Overall I have been happy. Another thing to understand is that any forum you go to you will see more negative posts than positive posts as the unhappy tend to be more vocal. In general, buy the unit you like best and hope for the best with any manufacturer. Best of luck to you.
