Question ?

Keystone , and Crossroads are 2 separate Companies ?
Did they merge together as one ?
What is the difference in them , if any?
Please explain.

Keystone and Crossroads are separate companies but both are owned by Thor Industries. Like Chevrolet and Buick are both GM cars but different companies. As to the way they are built I have toured the Forest River plant and the Crossroads plant 2 years ago and they are built about the same. Just like anything you have good and bad. The big factor is the DEALER !

Not meaning any disrespect but you are asking if both Keystone and Crossroads are still junk after you have bought one of each! I cannot speak to the Keystone as I do not own one. The 13 year old Crossroads Cruiser I do have is built well. Is it better then any other - cant say - wont say. IT fills my needs very well and is holding up. I had a Salem by Forest River that I bought new that I traded in on this used Cruiser. It was a bunkhouse and with the kids grown we no longer needed the bunkhouse. We had problems with it but the dealer - a independent who has been bought by Camping World - took care of everything! At 1 week old and leaving for a 2 week vacation the refrigerator quit. Called the dealer and was told to be there when they opened. They could not fix it so he removed another one from a new trailer and after making sure it was working sent us on our way.
There are good and bad in any brand but with as you say with all the complaints with the BBB just wandering why you bought not one but both brands! Again I mean no disrespect .

I bought a crossroads 210fk. Returned in following day so many cosmetic issues , they tried to fix them , but made the worse with cracked wood. I wouldn't accept it.

They took it back as it had noticeable issues.

I am interested in a keystone Premire. Haven't purchased it yet.

But , so many complaints on both brands with the BBB.
People having serious issues with their camp trailers.

That's why I asked are these trailers junk ? So many problems people are going thru.

This is a subject that is discussed all the time on this forum...These campers are built so fast and each one is different from the one built before it...No blue print for plumbing or electrical, all just put in as fast as it can be...I am convinced that unless you are buying a $250,000 RV that you can be assured of getting a quality camper...Anything less you will get a varying degree of problems, and the only thing you can hope for is that they are just minor problems...With all that being said on this forum and on the BBB you will mostly hear about the problems that people have and not the good things...
I have had two Crossroad Cruisers, a 2007 & a 2013 and I have had great luck with both of them...Knock on wood...

PS...good luck to you with your camper hunting...

Agreed. It's a portable house. It's going to rattle loose.

Read some of the other forums & you'll find it doesn't matter the price, brand, make, model or who the parent company may be, they are all the same, using the same vendors for parts, appliances & equipment.
Also most rvers that are pleased with their particular rv aren't on the forums bragging what a great unit it is, but those that are (moderator edit) at the manufacturer or dealer will be posting on every forum related to their rv.
Same goes for website reviews for parks/campgrounds, "I gave it 2 stars because they didn't provide free dog poop bags" or "1 star cause their FREE WiFi was weak". Some people just can't be pleased no matter what.

Only thing I can add here is the KZ I had went in one time in 3 years. Ended up trading it in for a bigger CR Z1 328 sb. In one year it has been into the dealer 6 times. Dealer has been great but still aggravating. Especially when it’s an hour and a half trip to the dealer then another hour and a half back home.

I think of them as a house on wheels with all the weaknesses and problems of each, but exacerbated by each other. Nevertheless, mine has been good.

The best defense is an exhaustive prepurchase inspection to get things solved before you buy and good maintenance.

Thank you , printed out the PDI. I will take it to the dealer this morning when I pick up the keystone Premier 19FBPR.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The crossroads sunset trail 210FK , that I originally purchased had flaws .
The flaws were made worse by trying to repair them. I wouldn't accept the trailer. They also noticed it has a musty old smell. I have allergies and couldnt.
They took the trailer back because I was not happy with the purchase.
There was no PDI for it what so ever. The salesman " Bob" was new
I trusted him with his information. It was poorly displayed it appears.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So my purchase of the Keystone Premier 19FBPR should go well this morning. I will make sure they check off on Full PDI disclosure.

Thank you to everyone that has had to explain stuff to me.
I am new at this and trying to learn everything as best as possible in a short amount of time.😣

I have to agree. We purchased our trailer in June of 16. The only problems we have had was a missing o-ring for the black tank flush, a center island that the curved paneling would keep come off in transit, and Junk tires that went out after one season.

Despite those items, they were easy fixes that we did ourselves to. It has been a solid unit for us. Honestly, the key to happiness in my book, is being willing and able to do minor repairs yourself. You'll learn more about your rig, and take gratitude in knowing you can fix most issues yourself and not get angry with dealer/manufacturer.

I will be in the learning stage for quite sometime.
It's just myself in this Camper. No one to help me.
Thank goodness I have all of you to ask for help , if a situation arises.
I think I'll be good for quite sometime.

Glenda,

Some of our friends asked us why we bought a Crossroads RV, and a 'Stick and Tin' one to boot.

My answer is simple (a bit like me). I bought the most (closest to my ideal) I could afford within the limits of my truck's capabiiities, and most importantly, with the knowledge that there is nothing on or in it I couldn't reasonable expect to fix myself.

Take everything you read on BBB sites on face value, understand that no-one posts on there unless they have some sort of grievance, so it's pretty much bound to be negative.

Just my experience you understand, Good luck, and enjoy your camper.

And I forgot to mention.....My wife and I love our Crossroads RV. It really is our little sanctuary away from home, and with the upgrades we've done, it's an absolute peach.

I hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours.
