Roof longevity

So I have a new TT and I am thinking of coating the roof with something like Cool Seal or some kind of roof sealant that I can paint on. The roof has a rubber cover that is about 1/16 thick and I just know the sun will ruin it in 5 or 6 years or so.

Any suggestions on products that I can coat the roof with that would extend the life of the rubber on the roof?

Unless they have changed their policy, they have never recommended a product for that purpose. Besides, you could very well negate the warranty.

Best solution would be a roof shelter at a minimum or a cold storage building .

I don't have the property to do a roof, though it is what I would prefer. Also I can not find any info on a roof warranty for Crossroads RV at all. Don't think they warranty the roof, just the structure for 3 years and that is limited.

A cover for it would be an ideal thing, the rubber is subject to all kinds of environmental issues. Also, I have seen more than one person use a product called 303 aerospace protectant. It's not a sealant, it's a protectant. I would like to see other people weigh in on this idea.

Check your favorite RV supply store/ Camping world/Walmart or anywhere that sells RV accessories for rubber roof cleaner/conditioner. Use that and it will help. Also the roof should have a 10 - 12 year warranty on the rubber material at least they used to. Check your information packet that came with your camper should be a booklet on the roof material with care instructions and warranty information.

I used pro guard liquid roof on mine,it was 9 yrs old. I did it two years ago there Are no problems even all the areas I caulk have remained perfect and it has about 12000 miles on the highway. Takes about 3 days to cure. You can go on amazon and read about it. It is the only edm liquid roof on the market. My warranty was good for 10 yrs but was prorated so I had nothing to lose and am very happy
