Has anyone replaced their RV mattress with a sleep number mattress?? If you did are you happy with your decision? My stock mattress is like sleeping on a rock.

That was our solution in our previous fifth wheel......only I think our topper was 4". Slept like a baby on that thing.

Same here but with "cool bead technology". Made a world of difference.

Didn't like the first one we bought that was supposed to be "cool" since it had menthol in it. We got a 4 inch as well and I sleep great.

No, I wouldn't buy or spend that kind of money for a sleep number bed.

We used an air mattress many yrs ago and air pressure has to be adjusted every time there is an altitude change. While this may not be a problem if you never travel in the mountains, always have shore power or an inverter, it could be a problem when you want to dry camp. We now use a foam topper with the factory mattress.

We put a Sleep Number mattress in our 325CK Patriot right after we bought the trailer. We slept a few nights on the OEM mattress and decided that, while it wasn't terrible, it wasn't something we wanted to sleep on for more than a night or two at a time. So we bought the queen-size Sleep Number and stuck the stock mattress in our home's guest room. To date, we really like the Sleep Number in the trailer and nobody who's spent a night on the original mattress in our guest room has complained. <grin>

We put a 4 in foam "Mattress" on top of the terrible OEM mattress of our reciently purchased 23 ft Z-1. It works great. The Mattress came with a cloth cover (it was not just a bare foam slab).

It cost about $100 at a local mattress store. It had a 100 day return policy (for another mattress) so we had some fall back if it was no good.
