My Sani-Flush has plugged up on my Cruiser. It worked last time I used it but this time I could not get water to go through. I also tried to used compressed air up to 40 psi to blow it open but nothing happened. Any ideas would be helpful.

Go under your bath sink ...there should be a black 90 degree fitting that the hose hooks up to and the other end hooked to the hose that goes to the tank . drop that and unscrew the fittings and that will let you know if its the black 90 deg thing or a plugged hose.
good luck

I had to pull down a bit of membrane to gain access to mine. There is a small screen on the end of the line (after you remove it from the tank) that clogs with bits of TP. I cleaned mine and now it works good again. Mine was on the opposite end of the black tank from the drain end. I removed themembrane (about 3' along the side of the rig) and was able to reach the fitting and pull it out.

Both of ours (two black tanks) had to be replaced under warranty. Both originals were replaced with Tornadosprayers. Don't know why but neither has clogged in over two years. I never empty the black tanks without using the flush.

I bought mine used and it didn't work. I was curious if it could be the dreaded pyramid so I filled the black tank using a 5 gal bucket and counted to see if it held the stated amount which it did.

I then let it sit a week and drained with macerator and then it worked.

I think maybe sitting there filled with water "softened" things such as what Stan was saying.

While I think the flush is a good thing, my old fiver did not have one and I never had any problemsor smell with it in ten years.

David & Carolyn

Our SAN-T-FLUSH quit working the year before last. The
Nozzle and the Check Valve were both clogged. </span>I dropped the belly liner and removed the
nozzle to be cleaned. It looks nothing like the SAN-T-FLUSH website picture. I
called SAN-T-FLUSH and asked about the nozzle installation instructions. They
stated that the nozzle is to be installed no more than 2” from the top of the
tank. Mine was screwed into the black tank drain hole. I assume that the tissue
paper turns to slurry and makes it through the nozzle screen and then forms a
very compact plug. Even if the tank were all but empty liquid in the tank would
want to travel up the flush hose to the check valve. If I can locate a plastic
flange that fits a SAN-T-Flush nozzle then I will be moving my nozzle higher on
the tank. I wonder if re-routing the flush hose so that it goes right to the
top of the compartment as it leaves the tank would help keep the nozzle from
clogging.

I also moved the Vacuum Breaker / Check Valve assembly into the
basement and mounted it as close to the ceiling as possible. Now if the vacuum
breaker decides to leak then it will not be doing so under the bathroom vanity.

If your flush system leaks fresh water from the behind the
water connection panel then it is most likely and bad hose splice connection.
The clamps are too big for the diameter of the splice fitting and cannot be tightened
evenly around the fitting. Conveniently this hose is exposed as it leaves the
basement to make its way to the tank. So, we purchased a set of regular brass garden
ends and moved this splice connection to the exterior of the RV. </span>Next time the SAN-T-FLUSH quits working I can
open this garden hose connection and operate the flush system if water exits
from this splice then I will know that the Vacuum Breaker Check Valve assembly
is working and the nozzle is clogged again.

Last summer we work camped 5 months and never had another SAN-T-FLUSH
problem.

THANK YOU to the Crossroads Forum Members that helped me
with this problem!!

When our first flush stopped working it was the same story. The tech at the service place told me that Crossroads mounted the nozzle in the wrong place. After that both were replaced under warranty and all work fine to this day. BTW: both times two different repair places used the Tornado sprayer to replace the factory OEM sprayer.

The breaker valve should be higher than the sink; the theory being that if the line gets plugged the sink will overflow before the breaker and you will see it.

Hard to believe they would mount the flush where they did!!!
