scissors chocks/stabilizers

I am new to RV 5th wheel. Please lend your experience with scissor style wheel stabilizers. Do they do what is advertized on the sales literature?

Chris I disagree on this one. I have a pair of X chocks and feel an appreciable difference in RV montion when parked. It does involve proper leveling and use of the rear stablizer jacks. IMO and you are entitled to yours:

chocks

If you are trying to take the shake out of your rig checkout Steadyfast stabilizers. They work.

X2, and they don't necessarily have to be the steadyfast brand to work and do the job.

To get back on the OPs topic, yes the X chocks work well for front to back movement but don't remove all the side to side rocking.

That is true. I suppose that is why others mentioned JT and Steadyfast those companies claim they do. I can't support that I don't have them.

Check out this thread under sunset trail, "trailer rock & roll". I also use the cargo bars and unit is rock solid. Also have the X chocks.
