I'm retired and never in a hurry when hauling my 30RE. Usually travel at 55 mph. The only thing that is disconcerting is when a big rig passes me .... feels like I'm being sucked into the semi! Does anyone else experience this? Is this normal and do I just have to get used to it?

I have a 30 RE, it is just something that occurs to most larger bumper pulls. You can try to live with it or check out a Hensley Arrow hitch, I bought the hitch. Problem solved, also stops any sway in windy conditions. No more white knuckle driving.

good hitch will help solve that problem if you have a 1500 truck the tires are P rated and have a softer side wall thus more flex. You can try to over inflate these by about 10 psi and it may help,or just put LT tires on The other good hitch is Pro pride

Another good hitch is the Reese Straight line (dual cam). I used one on a 29 ft Sprinter TT with a GMC 1/2 ton truck and it worked great.

As mentioned above, upgrading thetires and a premium hitch will help some but you are pulling a 35' trailer with a 1/2 ton...tail wagging the dog will happen.

I am towing a 33BD with a F150 and I don't notice much from passing trucks. I have an Equilizer hitch and Firestone Riderite airbags. I will be replacing my P tires with LT in the next month or two, which should help even more.

John, I will assume since you have a Hemi and the 3.92 rear gear you have 275/60-20 tires. My wife drives the same truck and that is what hers has. If you have the 20" tires you are going to be very limited when trying to find LT tires in that size. Since the most she tows behind her truck is my flat bed trailer with an ATV on it I stayed with the P Metric tires. You may have to try and correct most of your sway issues with a hitch more than tires.

what ar you using for a hitch/sway contol? is it properly adjusted? Some push/pull is normal but it shouldn't be a lot. I was pushed all over the road wen I had my armada. my 3/4 ton not really at all. a good properly matched tow vehicle is key. First go to scales and check your weights.if your loaded weights are all within limits the next thought is wdh adjustment. if it is correct then switch to LT tires. The softer sidewalks of a p tire allows for more flex, softer handling and more squirreliness when towing.

Just returned from a 8,500 mile 2+ month spring trip...just like last year. Installed an Equal-I-Zer hitch when buying the ST30BH back in '08. After 5+ years towing I can honestly say I've never had a white knuckle experience with my setup. Lots of passing trucks on I-25, I-10, I-20 going back to Savannah and I-70 coming home from PA this year. My left hand is on the steering wheel and my right rests on top of the console. Couldn't do that with a previous Reese hitch. Very confident with the Equal-I-Zer plus it's cost effective when bought online.
