Silicone Remover

The name of the product is: Motsenbocker's Lift Off Caulk-Silicone

It is water based and it works really well IMHO...It is also safe for the gel coat RV's...I thought it was a little pricey, but I didn't mind paying the price because it saved me a lot of scraping...Just thought it might help someone redoing their silicone chauking...

Tommy, I take it you have personally used this product?

I use it all the time to recaulk bathtubs and showers. works well. It softens the caulk (latex and silicone types) so you can take a plastic scraper to remove it. Kinda messy but works. Before caulking, I use rubbing alcohol to clean it up.

Yes that is correct, for the last three days I have been recaulking the 5er, where needed, and using this product...Like Stan said in his post, I scraped the majority of the existing silicone off with a plastic scraper, then apply the "Lift Off", rescrape, and then when I am satisfied that all the silicone is gone I wipe the area down with rubbing alcohol, and recaulk...I am very satisfied with this product...

I must add that I was just on Amazon and they had a large variety of Lift Off products....The one I used was in a 4.5 Fl.Oz. bottle (not spray) with a red label....The label says Motsenbocker's Lift Off Caulk Silicone Foam sealent Remover, on the front...
