Slide motor making noise only during closing.

I have a situation that I hope you all can help me figure out.

My main slide motor changes pitch and gets louder (as if under additional stress) right about when the slide is closed or about 4 inches left until it is closed. It is not the same noise the motor makes after the slide closes and triggers the shutoff. The increased noise not there when opening.

Any ideas. I wax the slide panels per recommendation directly from Crossroads tech and it is only 1 year old. It's NOT a Schwintek system.

Taking a 5K trip within the next month and no way we can get this in before we leave.

It's under warranty but if I can't get it fixed myself, we're kind of out of luck.

Sounds like the slide may be a little out of square or the top of the slide is binding for those last few inches. Are there any rub marks on the floor? May need a cable adjustment. Mine started to jam up both going out and in. Found the cables stretched over time.

Great advice. I did not see any markings which is good I guess. Despite have the sides waxed (Crossroads HQ warranty shop actually uses Pledge) It did look like part of the seal was catching. I ran dry silicone along the seal it seems to be better. My last trailer had a Schintek system, so I am not as familiar but it does appear the slide is rocking back and forth and there is play in both the in and out action.

There should only be 1" movement up and down (2" total) in the cables. The attached will show how to adjust the cables. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link to the manual (assuming this is the same one on my trailer). Truly appreciate this forum and everyone that participates. You got me out of a jamb here!
