slideout maintenance

We diligently lubricate the rubber seals on our slideouts. The sides are easy to reach. How do you lubricate the top parts, short of laying on the roof and leaning over? This would be a little hard on a fifth wheel where the top of the side is somewhat lower than the roof.

Open it up about 1 ft and use a step ladder. Easy to get at the seal. Have someone hold the ladder....

For what it's worth, The Crossroads repair center team uses Pledge on the seals. I have it in a work order.

Nevertheless, I vote for the 303 protectant. It's expensive for a reason..
