Slides operating unevrnly

I have a 2014 Crossroads Zinger Fifth Wheel 28RL. The dinette slide goes out unevenly. How do I fix this? It seems like there is play between the gears.

Probably a shwintek...put slide out one ft then return and hold button for 3 seconds after in...repeat 3 times . Always hold button for 3 scs after putting out or putting in to sync motors.

It’s a Lippert slide.

If its the Lippert rack slide check your rack and gear packs for wear or bad teeth. Also check the mounting bolts at the end of the rack for tightness. Almost sounds like it may have jumped a tooth. Did it make a "popping" noise any time before it went crooked?

I have already checked all that. It hasn’t jumped a tooth. It does it when you are
putting it in. One side starts going in before the other. When it is all the way in, it is even.

Have someone operate the slide as you watch the square tube that goes between the 2 gear packs. See if the tube moves before the shaft on the gear pack or does it turn a little before it does. Be sure to check both sides. There are bolts where they attach and one may be sheared or be very loose and letting it slip or turn before it catches.

If its sheared off try to line up the holes and use a drift or punch and try to drive the old one out. ON mine i had to drill it out as it was corroded and would not move. Once you get it out just find a bolt to replace it. Cant remember the size rite now thinking 1/4" by about 1-1/4 but not to sure on that.

In the documents section there is a file on how to lube the gear pack that came from lippert. I had a bad squeal or squeak that just spraying with slideout lube would fix for a while . Turned out the gear packs were worn thru the bushings so i need new gear packs. While trying to remove the gear pack the bolt in the square tube broke off as it was frozen in place.

My slide out wasn't coming in at all this week, only 1 side was moving. I LIBERALLY spread the slide mechanism (with slide lube with the PTFE): the 2 tracks, the 2 gears and the motor. That fixed my problem. There is also a way to re-synch the slide if they are out of sync:

Thats good information for the Schwintek slide system. But sounds like he has the Lippert Thru Frame slide with the rack and pinion gears. The Schwintek is located on the walls and the lippert is under the slide floor.
