small electric heater

Would it be ok to use one of these for adishnal heat I was told some do,they leave doors open on cabinets if so what for size is best any info. would be great. Thanks

If you need additional heat a small electric heater is fine. We have one and used it in here when we first arrived back in March. It works well in our bedroom and also in the main living area. Saves lots of propane.

We have used a small ceramic electric heater for several years on the camper and the boat. One with a hi-lo switch, oscillates (or not) with a temperature control that shuts off the fan when the temp is reached, tip-over switch, 1,500 watt...about $39 from Sams or Walmart.

We have heated our camper down to 18 degrees with electric heaters. I never use my furnace. I will turn it on as a back up only. Setting in N.H. raining 45 degrees with our elec. fireplace going. toasty in here.

I use two oil filled electric heaters, one in the LR and one in the BR. No fan and no noise. I plug these into appliance controllers that have their own thermostats built in. This controls the heater and puts the thermostat at the wall outlet where the RV is the coldest. At night the heater will stay on as long as necessary and when I leave the RV in the morning I don't have to worry about turning it off.

We use our electric fireplace in the LR and a 1500w electric heater in the BR. Last weekend was about 32-35 degrees over night. When we turned on the heat at 8pm it was 59 inside. When we woke up it was 74 in the trailer.

Thanks for info I never heard of appliance controllers? Does make good sense the walls are cooler maybe thats the way to go once we get heater.

I have used a Pelonis 5-disc furnace for the past several years when the weather gets cool and it has always worked great. Set it on the kitchen counter with a small fan set on the table against the back window to help circulate the air to the front of the trailer. We had 25-degrees last week in Minnesota and the Pelonis kept the camper a nice 68-degrees using only the 3rd setting.
