Spare parts: Stainless Screws

I'm putting in an order for stainless steel square-drive screws. I think what I want to order is #6 - #10 in graduated lengths from 1/2" to 2". I think I need to get several head profiles as well. I realize that I may not be able to get all the different sizes.

I've been replacing the top bulb seals on my Seville & have been pulling out screws that have rusted so it seems that using stainless might be a good idea.

I've seen a couple posts in other fora that suggest as you do maintenance to replace the factory screws with new stainless so that may be the next project.

Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Replacing with ss screw is a great idea. In order to cover up the old holes, run a strip of Eternabond tape over all the holes. Pan head screws are probably what you need. They will sit flush on the seal. Some still put a dab of caulk over the heads of the screws to really seal them.
Don't know if you know there is a combo bulb and wiper seal you can get. Easy install. https://www.pellandent.com/Snap-N-Se...ther-Stripping

Good luck.

ACE Hardware has a good selection of screws & such by the piece. I've bought a lot of stainless steel screws there -- panhead, square drive.

My local Ace also sells screws by the box. Depending on size this could be as many as a 100 screws
