I have read on the forum about the wet bolt mod.

I was wondering, how can you tell if the nylon bushings are worn out?

Do you have to take the shakles apart to find the bad bushings?

Also how long of a job is it to complete the wet bolt mod.?

Im thinking of doing it but have limited time these days and dont want to do it in the dead of winter.

Thanks

Brian

Bushings need to be replaced if they start clicking when you turn. We replaced the nylon ones with bronze.

If you have towed over 500 miles you need bushings.

X2 I could not believe the condition of the nylon bushings on my 2010 Cruiser. I had about 1000 miles on it plus what ever was put on transporting from Indiana to Idaho. I went with the wet bolt system.

Where is the best place to get the wet bolt kit?

Approximate price?

8500 miles on mine, thinking they are probably due...

Are hte shipping costs nuts? I asked at the dealer and they were saying it would be cheaper to source an equivilent locally, at $14 per bolt! I told them to hang tough....
