can anyone tell me what would cause the front room floor to squeak very badly, and it is a loud noise. Where would a person look to see if the floor is leaving the metal frame. tI has just started in the last 2 days or so and it is getting worse as the days go on. It start all the way from the stairs back to the windows. Thank for any help on this

If yours is a fifth wheel andyou have the storage area underneath, I would check first to make sure something you stored there is rubbing against the raised floor aluminum framing. If it is a tag along, you may have had a bracket on a gas line break free and it is allowing it to rub against the frame.

Do not set the rear stabilizers too tight.

Is it squeaking in one place or everywhere you step?

If only one place, note it and take a look underneath to see if something like a gas pipe can be rubbing. There also might be a waste tank pipe rubbing, depending on location.

If it squeaks everywhere, make sure the frame isn't torqued over into a twist.

I might actually be the island where it is screwed into the floor. I had a similar issue and removed the screws one by one until I heard the squeaking stop the I put a new screw beside it in a new hole. A small wood shim from HD under the wood to lift it off the floor will also work and you can carefully cut it flush with a razeor blade.

I have a CT 30rl and it has a squeek in the front floor just before the bedroom. I had looked into it when I had the underbelly down to have new spring hangers put on and I found that mine was the flooring rubbing on the duct work for the furnace. I tried to shim it and screw it down better but to no avail I couldnt get it to stop squeeking. I did get it to quiet down a little, but then once we made a trip it went right back to the squeek again. So I just ignore it and someday maybe it will go away. LOL

Since the furnace is under the island and there is a duct that runs from under the island to the back window, that might be the problem. To fix that i would think you need to remove the belly cover. Or like someone else said it could be the island itself.Open the doors for the cabinet under the sink then have someone walk around to see if you can pinpoint where it is coming from.
