Hi: Hope someone can give me some suggestions on how to keep the squirrels from chewing on my propane tubing. Have had to replace the two leading to the bottles. Now they have decided that they want to chew on the tubing leading down to the main metal part going into the trailer. Have a Cruiser 28RL (05). Tried to use the pipe plastic material to keep water line from freezing. They thought that this the desert cut through the plastic ties and on into the rubber tubing for their entry.

Any help are suggestion would be moree than welcome.

A squirrel had made a nest and had babies under our previous TT. My husband bought a trap, used peanut butter as bait, and relocated them about a mile away. Good luck.

Squirrels can be a real problem. I would trap and relocate or "eradicate" them. I have had people tell me that their attempts to "squirrel proof" things have only seemed to make the squirrels more determined to create havoc.

They are terrible little buggar's, we had a issue with them at the house. I tried catching them but they evaded traps. Finally, filled a 5 gal bucket 1/2 way full of water. About 1/3 the way from the top rim I smeared peanut butter around the perimeter. I placed a plank up to the top of the bucket - it worked wonders.

In the camper, the rear bulkhead of the frame has 5 venting holes that allow rodents to enter freely. I have since blocked them and the rodent issue has ceased.

We live in a city the "prides" itself on our squirrel/ rodentpopulation. I could not believe it when I moved here about 16 years ago when I saw people in the neighboorhood throwing food for them in their front yards. Not only that, but now we have a couple dozen fiberglass squirrels/ rodents around town in front of businesses, and we are officially known as "Squirell City" . (Our tax dollars at work!)

The best "relocation" I can give them is from here to the after life.

Yes, "Lead Poisoning" is known to be fatal for them.

I bet wiping that on the hose might send them down the street.

Thank you for all the suggestions. One squrrrel down so far. Placed rat bait in between a limb on a couple of trees and found one belly up. Also put hot sauce all over all areas that I could get too. do not see any new areas at present.

Thanks againEdited by: franc2
