some of the srew's on the outside of the camper is starting to rust on the head's,has anyone just change them out to new one's? if so, wereyou able to get painted heads stainsteel one's 2006 crossroad terrian toyhauler 5th wheel?

I bought new screws and a can of white spray paint . Painted my own.

If you have a well stocked Ace hardware nearby, they carry them there....at least ours does.

I painted ours as well. Screw them into a piece of cardboard and spray paint the heads.

IMO, a few cents more for stainless steel is well worth it; whether you paint it or not you won't have to worry about that one rusting again.

I replaced ALL the screws with s/s and didn't paint them. I did put caulk in the hole before putting in the screw.

On my cruiser I brushed the rust out of the screwheads and put a dab of RV caulking and smoothed with a finger wetted withvarsol . Took the idea from Avion 5wheel which are sold with this job done.
