Steps too high
Does anyone recommend an additional step or stool. This camper is higher than my last one and my mother has a hard time reaching the first step.

I simply built a small (2' x 2') platform out of 2x4's and carry it in the bed of the truck. It helps make that first step much easier but does nothing for the rise of the other steps. Lloyd, I like that link for what you did. How has that worked for you? Much flexing, etc?

I carried a box around for years to make that first step easier.
Yes, there is flex. The distance to the ground can vary depending on where you are setup. I set a couple boards under the first step. Always have extras for leveling anyway. That eliminates the flex, and, for me it's better then hauling that darn box around.

There are adjustment holes in the step mounting that allow the steps to be lowered however that will make the last step into the RV higher.

CFun I like the look of those, were they easy to install? Did you have to make any modifications?

Haven't done the install on my Sunset Trail yet, but when I put them on my old Rockwood they bolted right on to the factory mount. Took less than 30 minutes with the majority of that time spent trying to get the bolts holding the factory stairs off.

The glow step is interesting.
I took a 2x8 and made a simple box with a piece of plywood on top. Seems we need it either at forward or back entrance nearly every time we set up. When not in use, I just flip it and use as a storage container in the front compartment. The sewage slinky and a few other items fit in it just fine.
Some have refit their steps with the 4 step units with good results.

We found a collapsible step at Coleman outlet. It works great for us.
