I'll bet I can unlock my combination locked storage doors faster than you can (a) go inside and get the key because you never have the key with you when you need it, (b) fumble with it to determine which side goes up, and then turn the key once it gets a little corroded.
There are only three numbers to line up and, in reality, you only have to reset one of them.
No lock will keep someone who is determined to get in there but if you're gonna lock 'em, why not make it easy on yourself?
