Stupid question!

I know this is going to be a stupid question but what size of lug wrench do I use to take off my rims and tires off of my crossroads camper? I’ve got a four-way spare tire lug wrench but I can’t get nothing to fit.

There's not that many different sizes. I know my lug size is 3/4" and that's pretty common. Most lug nut wrenches you'll find have only 4 different sizes, I think 2 metric.
If not the original owner, could there be security lugs to avoid theft and a special socket is needed?
That 4 way should work on standard lugs.

Just to add to this, here's an attachment that shows 17 and 19 mm, 3/4, 13/16, 7/8, and 15/16" sockets. I do believe the metric are close enough to work with most spanners.

I'm not positive of your situation but with my rims I use 13/16 deep-set socket and a half inch drive strong arm 16 inches long. Reason being that a star wrench is too thick to get onto the lug-nuts because of the design of the mag wheels.

Just a funny note when I was gearing up this trailer for changing the spare I also ground down a star wrench to fit into the lug-nut opening to accommodate these wheels but I just wasn't sold on the final outcome. So after deciding that a 6sided deep-set 13/16 inch socket on 1/2 inch drive and a 16 inch strong-arm was what I consider the tool for the job, off shopping I go with Canadian tire in mind. The kicker is on my way there I was driving past a pawn shop and thought what the heck, maybe they might have just the beast. Well surprise surprise, the strong arm, several sockets incase a person might be so unlucky to lose one and a few other spare sockets, mini level, odds and ends that also stay aboard the trailer and walked out of there for like 10 bucks, problem solved. I just cringe at the thought of not being prepared for those tiny unknowns, or should I just say try to be prepared... Kinda like reading others issues, then see what tools might b e needed if that happens, like carrying a short step ladder to remove the slider motor to push it in by yourself, and knock on wood occasionally to thank your lucky stars that never happens.

I pull enough different trailers all over the US that I carry a tire changing kit. I have a small compressor and tire plugs for the easy stuff. If I have a blowout then I utilize a bottle jack if a single axel tire blows and a ramp jack for double axels. Most importantly I carry a dewalt large impact with both metric and sae sockets and extensions and a torque wrench.

You don’t need the extensive kit I have but at least have the changing ramp with you.

Or you could always keep the good Sam roadside assistance card handy...

Is it possible the lug nuts have a 'beauty cover" over yours that just pull off to get to lug nuts ?

Mine do, I just have to remove a Philips head screw that reveals the 5 lug nuts, then as mentioned they are 13/16 inch socket size nuts..

I should also mention that only chrome deep-set sockets work as an impact socket is to thick and will not fit into the lug nut opening. the picture will show what I mean.

a quick note about the changing ramp. have a Superlite 29BH. it has an I think they call it secure stance suspension the axles are a little further apart and have a good travel in the suspension. My 1st blow out was last month and sadly I was not prepared had to call for a truck to jack it up. He tried the ramp trick and did not work. one tire up on ramp other tire stayed on the ground. Needed a bottle jack that I know have in my kit. as well as changed the rest of the tires and care an additional spare.
