Ok thanks guys. You have given me a lot to research and learn. Now to hand some of the research over to hubby since he gets to handle all the fixing things in this family.

Here's one more for you. This protects againsts surges, open neutral and is also a 2-step voltage booster that protects from either high or low voltage issues. I have one and so does my buddy...whose rig was recently saved by this device. It's pricey but provides much more protection that a surge suppressor.

Aileen, we were in Doswell this past weekend as a storm blew threw and were very glad we had the simple surge protector. We got the one you had looked at, 30 amp, at CW. I agree that the more you spend the more you get, but I am VERY satisfied our circuitry will be protected.

Well we broke down and bought the 34750 model for the new 5er. No more worrying about whether or not we are protected at a campground. Thanks guys

Great chart Cliff. Makes me happy I bought and installed the Progressive Industries 50 amp hard wired model with remote monitor thanks to recommendations 18 months ago on here. I do love the unit.
