Thoughts on Repair Costs

So, I have navigated my TT through my neighborhood several times and yesterday, took it a bit wide and connected with a street sign. The sign is fine (mostly).
What are your thoughts on the repair costs to the damage?

Are you considering the repairs yourself? Or filing an insurance claim? Personally I'd let my insurance handle it.
Fortunately it doesn't appear to be structurally damaged, most cosmetic.

I agree, let the insurance cover a professional repair.

So initial ballpark estimate is $1000-$1500. Insurance deductible is $1000. #sadface

The biggest drawback to DIY is getting the parts needed, the manufacturer won't send parts to you so a dealer has to be involved to just delay the job & most likely add to the cost. To be honest I'd bet the parts would be really close to the $1000 mark, after all it's a rv. Worst case is your out $1000, best case is it ONLY cost you $1000 by going with your insurance, which is why you have it.
